# 3. Add metadata for the identifiers section

In this section of the tutorial, you'll add metadata for the identifiers section of the template. This will allow the template to display actual data from the record, and list all its different identifiers. You'll do this by adding data paths to each identifier's type, and the value held for that type.

Return to the top of Section 1.2: Identifiers

Click Add metadata.

Label it Section 1.2: Identifiers: Metadata

Choose Block as the design
Choose Column as the content direction

Click Add a Primary Heading

Choose metadata value as the type of heading

Choose Relative as the path type
Enter $.type as the data path
