# Record formats

The record formats tab shows you versions of the data in this record as it has been ingested and processed. The data is in JSON format.

The formats show the different stages of an individual record, starting on the right with the original data, and moving to the left as CIIM processed and indexes the data.

Source data is what this record looked like when it was extracted from your collections database
Parsed data is what this record looked like when it was prepared to be added to CIIM
Processed data is what this record looked like after CIIM has checked it and mapped it to your public search
Indexed data is this record as it has been prepared for search and presentation on your public-facing website
